i am add shorts headers by gibson and in two weeks will be adding true duals with flowmaster. my question is how much more power and torque can i expect? aslo i have already done an intake and tb spacer. what can do after all these upgrades besides a chip and supercharger to add more power to my 2001 f150 with a 4.6l v8? any info will be great. thanks
It sounds as though you are not going to put the cats back on it. Be aware, lowering the exhaust back pressure will reduce the amount of gases going to the EGR and cylinder temps will go up. As the temp goes up so does the possibility of blown head gaskets and blown spark plugs which the Triton engines are prone to. Best of luck.
i am sorrey for not give all the information. it is shorty headers that bolt on in front of the two cats. the exhaust pipe is going to be broken at the y and then it will run as a dual exhaust system with all four of the cats in the same place as before. my question is will stuff like cams or other enturnal parts be worth doing and what beside a cams can be done to help my 4.6 put more power to the ground?
