He’s probably referring to all the talk of the spray in liner holding up orders, since it’s part of the black appearance package. I have the BAP and my truck is set to be built this week. I’m not sure if the BAP has caused any significant delays. If there have been spray in liner delays, has it been due to the BAP or just a stand alone option? Does Ford prioritize the liners for the BAP? I don’t think we’ll ever know for sure.

Oh ok, I was aware of the potential delays from the spray liner but had not heard of a complete inability to order trucks with that option. Wasn't sure if there was some recent change.
From what I have seen on these forums, trucks are still being built and delivered with the spray liner and some other options said to cause delays.
I'm also scheduled for build week of 3/14. I'm BAP and original order was submitted 7/15/21. I had BAP, 5th wheel and tonneau that was holding me up (at least my hunch).
Yeah sorry i was referring to the mandatory bed liner that comes in BAP. lots of people dropping BAP and going sport to get the truck, im figuring if they want the black headlights its gonna make them cost a small fortune used.
yep dealer offered me last week a substantial price over what i paid last april. its still simmering in my head.
problem is we need a pickup, not really a super duty but something capable of 6 to 8 k towing
inventory around her is absurd. ordering might be the option, but waiting 3-4 months to get a truck might be palatable
my dealer will do x plan on orders only , which is fantastic
Your lucky they're saying 3-4 months. I was thinking of trading my 2020 and they told me 8-12 months which I think has some BS in it.
And I need a pickup.

Same here offered 87k for 22 hard not to consider.
If you have a BAP currently ordered code 17L and don’t have a vin yet cal your dealer and ask to change 17L to 17M the 17M is BAP without bedliner. I didn’t see anything in the order guide about late availability yesterday when I looked but I could have missed it. If you get the 17M it should help as the bed liner seems to be holding up a lot of trucks. I don’t know when the build and price page will be updated but I’d think it would be 500 less.
