Hey folks. Looking at replacing my solenoid pack in my 97 F250 with E4OD transmission (yes, E4OD not 4R100). How can I know if this will fit without disassembling my transmission. It looks like the "some transmissions" note is only for the 98 with 4R100. Advice?
The on-off lockup they're talking about is definitely an E4OD thing, so since this is what you got this solenoid pack should work for you just fine. You can measure the resistance across the TCC pins in the connector on the passenger side of the trans, take the heat shield off and be careful with the harness as you unplug it, an inspection mirror will then help you look into the transmission connector and find the pins to measure across.
