hey yall. got a 91 f-150 with a 302. the problem? well say i start it up and drive into town, a 20min. trip, then i turn it off go into the store for like 6min. and try to start it up again...it dont happen, i have to wait almost half an hour before it will start! but once it does it runs great...except right after it starts it will rev up a few sec then idle again like 2 or 3 times. otherwise it runs great! whats the problem!? i thought it would be fuel injectors but could it be a fuel pump or some kind of regulator messing up my air fuel mixture??? please help me! thanks yall

so does the engine turn over strong like it wants to start?
if so, does it blow out a lot of black smoke when it does finally start?
with the info you gave I would say it may be a leaking injector dripping in the plenum flooding it when the egine is off and fuel pressure is still high. then the computer races the engine trying to adjust for the mixture when it starts.
