I agree with 46fordtruck, you gotta be a harcore fan. I put the Matrix trilogy in between action and sci-fi movies. I loved both movies, and can't wait to see the last one.
What turned me onto the Matrix, was the thought of what is real and what is make believe. Further more, it's the same concept of Terminator. Someday, we will have more machines in our lives. Just look at computers, how many households own not only one, but more than one. It's going to hard to top the movie technology these days.
BTW, did any of you realize that Roy Jones Jr. was in the second one? We did.
My Fiance and I watched it this weekend, we thought it left alot of things unanswered and totally left it open for another sequel.. even though they say its the "last". It probably all depends on how much money it makes...
acerockola77 has put it just right. I was not too impressed with the third. It was disorienting to me, having never seen the second, and equally frustrating as a result. The whole "love" thing never seemed to fit in either, least of all in this most recent Matrix wherein such scenes were overly drawn out and tacky. The whole movie was tacky, for that matter!! You could almost sense people in the audience about to start cracking jokes as many sequences deserved one or two. I couldn't wait to get home and make up for some sleep I should've been getting instead.
I'll give points for eye candy. Otherwise it was lame.
