I previously had a 2021 and now have a 2022 f350 Platinum. 2021 with SYNC 3 and 2022 with SYNC 4.
I would like to use Android Auto for Navigation but not for phone conversations as the speakerphone sounds like crap compared to a good BT headset.
When I plug the phone in via USB the SYNC system automatically takes control of the phone regardless of how I have it setup on either system. On the Sync 4.It will also turn on the blue tooth radio on in the phone automatically. When I go into the phones settings for blue tooth connections to SYNC I can turn off phone calls but it turns it back on automatically.
Has anybody found a way around this so you can have a BT headset operate correctly and use Android Auto for Nav?
I have had this issue with 2 different phones. Samsung Note 9 and Pixel 6 Pro
Just came here to post the same thing.
Can't listen to my blue tooth ear pod from my Samsung S23+. No matter what I try it switches to the car audio in the 2022 Lariat. I think the only way it would work is to disable Android play and disconnect the blue tooth from the car.
I didn't have that problem in any of my other Fords with the same phone. 13 F150 Limited, 18 Edge, 21 Explorer
All of those will switch from the car to the Ear pods with just turning them on. And back without much effort.
