My nav runs out 3/17 and I tried to check options on the chance I may want to extend service. Received the email with renewal link and it took me to the ford.com site. Tried it a couple of different days and it would not load or went to a page that stated it was not accessible by me. Called the number on the email for help and they asked for vin and phone number and put me on hold. Waited a few minutes and gave up. Apparently Ford is not to interested in selling this service. Ford Pass did not have any places to address this either. Not really sure I was going to subscribe but they kind of made up my mind at this time anyway.
Anyone have any luck in purchasing nav?
Ford has a horrible internet/IT presence in my opinion. Whether it's a tracker, the build site, FordPass or whatever. Just plain sub par.
I work in IS myself for a major hospital and I couldn't agree more. If our systems operated similar to the experiences I have had with Ford.....lots of us would be out of work.

Echo - for a major multi-zillion $ company their web/IT/connected side is flaky as hell. Never sure whether to blame Ford, Android Auto, Google, Microsoft - or all of them just to cover the bases LOL

This happened to me because my Ford Pass user name and password were different from Ford.com site. Register your Ford.com info the same as Ford Pass and error message goes away. Took about 8 people on the phone, getting transferred many times, dropped calls, over two day of trying to get this figured out. Once I lined up the user names and passwords it went right through. Most work I ever did to spend $80 bucks with bunch of crooks!
Just tried it, and after logging in, brought me to the $80 payment page.
I also was able to get into the Connected Nav page but there was no renewal information shown. Probably because I still have 60 more days before my trial runs out.

This!!! Pain in the BUTT!!!! With me it was because I had a much older account from way back when Sync first came out and you could download the updates via the Sync site. The same account was "migrated" when the sync site was merged with the predecessor to Fordpass. In the process it got borked by their systems so I created a new account, but every so often the old account creeps up, which NOW works. Both use my same email address which is what is screwing it up.
I would pass on the subscription and just use Apple CarPlay or a similar Mapping APP. Never have to worry about updates etc. Crazy how much these vehicles cost now and then start paying subscriptions for options.
Kind of like paying for Hotspot in your truck, when your phone already has it. What's the purpose?

Glad you got it all worked out!
Agree 90+% of the time. We lose cell service in the desert all the time and it’s just then (my luck) when I need it (satellite).
We don't get 4 (or 5) G anywhere near my country estate, so using Android Auto is hit or miss. I hate the thought of a subscription to nav on a vehicle that I will drive 10 times a year, but maybe that's the future of using tech services. The price won't break my bank, but it sure gives me something to complain about.

Download Google offline maps while you have good service and it'll work fine when you don't. It works like normal, you just don't get traffic updates. I've literally used this for navigation all over the world.
