Whatever you do, when you are done, take another vehicle that’s a sedan or cross over and drive toward your truck and see for yourself. If it bothers you a little, it probably bother others a lot as we are a guilty of “ah that’s close enough” syndrome.
Funny story. I reversed the instructions on the Hikari lights. Not only did it blind people but it blinded them in "low beam" and just for the hell of it, one day I decided to set it in "high beam". Problem solved. After a few months, I checked the wiring to make sure I didn't have it reversed when I changed the bulbs from a 9007 to a H13 bulb so maybe I screwed up the pinout. Used an incandescent bulb and all was good. Talked to Hikari and they suggested I rotate the bulb 180 degrees. WTF!! Jerks were just trying to blow me off. Sure enough. It worked. Readjusted the housing and all was good. Looked at the instructions and discovered that I ****ed up initially and rotating it worked because that WAS the prescribed way.
So yes, your suggesting is a good one. Reading the instructions and interpreting it CORRECTLY would have been better.
Use a kit designed for the truck. My headlight revolution kit went into my 2017 back when it was new. A very worthy lighting upgrade was realized with no blinding of oncoming traffic. 5 years later I have never had an issue.
What is involved in HR's kit that makes it better than buying the same bulbs elsewhere and adjusting them properly?

I would be curious too. The kit seems to be a pair of bulbs so what is contributing to the cost? I'm all for higher costs as long as it brings higher benefits.

I think I bought something from them a long time ago. I don't even recall what it was now, maybe reverse light bulbs.
It seemed at the time that I could buy the same headlight bulbs elsewhere for less than HR was selling them for. I also seem to recall that more than a few were not happy with customer service.
My experience with front switchback and rear reverse lights with f150led has been good. You're right. Not cheap but snapped in securely and quality products.
Some years ago I installed the Beamtechs in my truck with LED fogs because that's what Poncho was using. I didn't mess with the tail/brake lights so never had the issues lots of folks reported. The pattern from the Beamtechs is exactly the same as the OEM halogens so if you're trying to light up the countryside, they aren't for you. What I gained in the swap was increased contrast, making it easier to read road signs and spot deer.

^^^^ +1 to all of this in a 2019 F350 ^^^^
I installed Beamtechs on recommendation of Poncho and many others on this forum before my truck had 500 miles on it, never looked back.
Night and day improvement over the horrible stock headlights (no pun intended).
I am thinking of getting the LED Headlight bulbs for all 4 and not just the 2. I don't think THESE are going to be a problem for installation based on what I see of the videos and fitment. I know some vehicles have a cover for the housing and it could interfere but on the 17 F250, I don't see it. Anyone know for sure after installation? Yes, adjustment is going to be necessary. I have had Hikari before and it sucked because the installer (me) misinterpreted the instructions and did the exact opposite. After adjustment to specs, it was fine.
Feel free to suggest other brands but I am looking for a 6000K light. Any hints or problems I might encounter? TIA
Hello. Who has changed out the halogens for LED bulbs? Which brand is best? Is this a simple to moderate DIY project on these trucks? Thanks

In terms of installation, on these trucks it’s usually pretty straightforward. Most of the time you’ll need to remove the grille first, then take out a few screws on the headlight assembly — after that you can easily access the bulb housing and replace the bulbs.
As for brands, there are quite a few good options out there. If you’re still comparing, feel free to check out Auxito as well — might be worth adding to your list. Happy to help if you have any questions!
