Battery light

2016 F350 6.7
The battery lights been coming on for 2 weeks?
it starts fine , even on some real cold days.
I have used it lots and everything seems to work fine?
Anyone got any ideas?

Check your system voltage with the engine running. It should be about 13.5 to 14 volts. If your charging system voltage is within specification, watch the video linked above, where the symptom appears identical to yours. If you fast forward to about 3:50, you'll see where the "green death" is found in that harness. I've had my fair share of the exact same repair on my doorstep with that corroded wire right in that same exact area.

It may not be a bad idea to give the battery posts and terminals a good cleaning. One of those cheapy wire brush tools for batteries works pretty good. An inspection of cable ends couldn't hurt either. The connections should be clean and secure.

It won't be starting fine once the battery goes flat due to a non-charging alternator.

Its been starting for a couple weeks that way thats why I dont think its alternator or batteries.
