Bench/Jumpseat Question

Got a friend looking at getting a new or newer Super Duty. Due to the amount of kids he has hes looking at getting the front bench seat, but reading that it gets too hot in the back seat due to no vents other than the floor. For those with the front bench/jump seat, is this an issue you've noticed with the seat up and the temp outside needing the air conditioning? He'll be living in the south, so heat being the main concern for the kids. Thanks for any insight.

There are 4 vents in the dash that blows air to reach the back..I have never been told its too hot in the back seats. I would not advise of the moonroof then, seems to run hotter IMO

I don’t have any issues with mine. I live in SC. That’s not to say that your buddy’s kids won’t whine that it’s hot. I think that’s just what kids do. And a couple extra vents won’t help that.

No issue with my 3 in the back and the 2 65lb dogs on the floor laying there. Plenty cool enough, I don't have a moonroof FWIW.

This was a big time concern for me as well. I have no complaints here. My kids also haven’t complained and I live in South Texas where we see constant above 95 degree temps DAILY almost the ENTIRE SUMMER 3 months and September month. On the really hot days I just use the APP to turn on the truck and get the temp down ahead of time.
