Is Dyno mode the same as Sport mode? If so, on the newer models you just simply hit the traction control button twice and a notification pops up in the instrument cluster that traction control is off and sport mode is on. There is a bit of a timing thing though... you can't press it too fast, and of course you can't go too slow...
On cars you can hit several buttons that turn on a Dyno mode so you can disable all abs traction control etc without pulling fuses etc or throwing codes. I understand you can do this on the super duty. I just can’t find where it tells you what to do. It’s so you can put your truck on a Dyno

If you push the traction control button, it turns off the traction control
If you push and hold the button for 5+ seconds, it turns of stability control - not helpful on the dyno
it you double click the button, it turns on sport mode
You cannot turn off ABS - this shouldn't matter o a dyno pull

It is not possible to completely disable the traction & stability controls on these trucks without pulling the ABS fuse under the hood. I have mine wired to a switch so that I can completely disable it at will.
Random presses of the traction control button won’t do it.
I agree and your correct about disabling it with the uplifter switch is the only way. I’m worried that the transmission is what monitors the TC stability control crap if so is it harming the transmission by doing so? I know it throws codes and puts lights on but I can clear those with my ezlynk. I just don’t want to upset the transmision. So I’d heard you can turn on a Dyno mode which shuts it all off with no codes no pulling fuses etc. I know cars like the bmw etc have it

A “dyno mode” is probably the last thing Ford engineers had in mind when developing a heavy duty truck. These are not BMW sports cars. There is no “dyno mode”.
Also, the ABS system monitors the wheel speed sensors for traction control…it has nothing to do with the transmission. Any codes thrown by pulling the ABS fuse will be reset upon reinstalling the fuse and cycling the ignition on and off.
Remove fuses for ABS and TSC. Any videos you watch of dyno runs in a SD have the abs and TSC warning lights on. Since you have a ‘17 with a 6r140, 4th and 5th gears are about the same number from a 1:1 ratio, 4th is 1.149:1 and 5th is .858 to 1. On the 10r140 7th gear is exactly 1:1.
