Playing around with my 2017 Super Duty F350 and the Traction Control Button...
Push the button once and it turns off Traction Control. I understand that one.
Push the TC button twice quickly and "Sport Mode" shows on my screen with the "Okay". Push the TC button again and "AdvanceTrac" shows up on the screen with "Okay". If you push the TC button again, Traction Control shows it's shut off, again and your back to normal operating.
What do the two settings, "Sport Mode" and "AdvanceTrac" actually do?
Perplexed....nothing in the manual that I can find.
Ok I have a 15 F350 lariat dually and mine just turns on and off. I did 1,2,3,4,5 in a row and the stupid light just kept going on and off as fast as I could push it. What gives...
So on the Super Duty does the TC truly shut off? Or is it like my F150, in the sense that I turn it off (hold button) and it is still on at a certain threshold? I hate TC!
My F150 is never truly off. I'm not dead! I still occasionally want to rip a donut in an empty parking lot! Ha (I'm a 40yr old redneck)
I do the hold down thing to disable everything everyday I get in. Does anyone know if that forescan software can permanently keep it off?
There is an option to disable it in FORScan...but beware! Only one person has gotten it to work. For everyone else that has tried it (myself included), all the FORScan software does is disable the button on the dash....meaning you can't even manually turn it off anymore.
Just about an hour ago, I returned my setting to factory specs so I can use the dash button again.

I would believe it does. If you notice on the F150's instructions....you can't disable everything by holding down the button for 5+ seconds like you can on the SD. Only by going to 4-low.
Would my 2012 F250 have the same option to hold the button to completely disable everything? I wanna do some burnies without the damn thing fighting me

Yes and No. You can disable it all, but it will turn back on when your wheel speed reaches 35mph:

Well that's a bit annoying. Why did Ford have to put all these speed limitations on the fun stuff. Can't lock the diff past 20mph or whatever it is, can't turn stability control features off after 35mph. Wish my tuner could do more with this stuff. Just disable it all with the click of a button. I guess it really is a good thing though, because it keep me from roasting $400 tires.
