TPMS sensor compatibility question 2015 F250

Hello all,

I recently did a wheel swap on my 2015 F250 and put 2021 tremor wheels on. I left the original TPM sensors in the 2021 wheels thinking they are Ford and thus compatible, but now I am not so sure. I bought a
$15 relearning tool from Amazon $15 relearning tool from Amazon
and put the truck into relearn mode and the wheels don't seem to be responding. The TPM system was working prior to this.

Did I buy the wrong relearning tool? Should I try the relearn method by letting the air out of tires in relearn mode?

I was just wondering if anyone knows if the new sensors are not compatible with my truck? If so, is there a simple way to disable the TPMS system?

Best,
Snapon
Ps: I also posted this in the suspension section, sorry for duplicate thread.

suppose to work with either the 315mhz or the 433mhz tpms sensors.

Do you know if the tpms tire sensors are being read by the truck?

I'm not sure how to know if the sensors are being read by the truck? When I place the truck in learning mode, I hold the tool to the base of the valve stem and press the button once while holding for 10-15 seconds. When I do this, nothing happens. I tried multiple wheels.

Sensors from 17+ do not work with 11-16 trucks.

Nope, I put a set of Tremor take-off wheels and tires on my 2016. I used forscan to disable the tpms, no problems.

Hmm, okay. I may look to disable the TPM system as well, seems like this could get expensive fast. I don't have a windows laptops so I have yet to set up and use Forscan.

You can get a set of sensor for the wheels/tires off eBay around $50.

Sometime after 2017 the tpms sensors are no longer compatible with the previous generation trucks. I have 2017 wheels and tpms sensors on my '16 and they work just fine.

Almost the same setup. Different Tremor wheel.
2024 Tremor Takeoffs on a 2012 F250 FX4

4 inch readylift rear blocks (only 2.375 taller than stock). 2.5inch skyjacker front spacers (under coil steel spacers). Skyjacker drop pitman arm, Readylift track bar bracket, Shocks from fox.

I love it! But my next set of shoes will be 37s.
