Door ajar light on
Hello everyone I just bought a 2002 f350 7.3 diesel. Has 165,000 and the door ajar light is on and so is interior lights as well as rear upper outside light. I’ve sprayed we in door closures and open and closed them-no go. Do I need to take the door panels off to look at switch? Which one or all? I walk away and lights stay in with keys in my hand. Is there a defective module somewhere? Thanks jon

Door switch is stuck in one of the doors. I get it you sprayed the door latch but your going to have to LACE it with pb blaster, kroil, free all, some good penetrating oil and work them open and closed quite a few times. Don't just spritz it, you need to kind of soak it I think towards the top, spray it up into the internals, not just on the face. You may need to slam the doors to jar the switch loose. Once loose, spray it again each day for 3 or 4 days. Then fluid film it to try and get a slick layer that stays. Spray them once a month to keep em trouble free

I had the same problem with our '02 Excursion. It's not hard to take the switch out of the latch, I mean I did it. Once there use your favorite brand of cleaner and spray away actuating as you spray. I was amazed how much crap came out of that little switch. I don't remember how many I did, but I never had to do the same one twice. You can do as nydiver suggests, but that can make a mess and I like to get to the root cause.
