Hi guys. I just bought a 2017 f250 platinum last night and on the way home the cruise wouldn’t work. Wouldn’t even turn on when I pressed the button on the wheel. When I got home I went into settings and the cruise control option was grayed out, where you can select between adaptive and regular cruise.
checkec the fuse for adaptive cruise and it is good. Could only find the one fuse in the owners manual. Is there any more?
also the forward collision assistance not available warning comes on whenever I start the truck. I just took the cover off the sensor and both the cover and sensor are clean.
anyone Know what I can check easy before I call the dealer?
Sounds like front radar from behind the bumper isn't working. Get it fixed or turn off adaptive cruise and collision assistance. Might have corrosion in the connector, could check that too.
Thanks guys. I found the front sensor had come unplugged. It wouldn't let me turn off the adaptive cruise and switch to regular cruise until I had it plugged in.
