Hello,
I am looking at putting a kill switch in my 5.8L 1995 F-150. I would like to have it hooked up to my fuel pump. What color wire is the fuel pump in the driver's side foot well?
Thank you for the help,

Ford kinda already gave you one from the factory - it's the inertia switch that cuts power to the fuel pump in case of an accident. If you're only planning on disabling the pump energy now and then you can just tap that switch to trip it, most thieves are under pressure for time so if your truck don't start right away they likely won't spend much time looking for the reason why (plus the inertia switch being a factory item blends in quite nicely with the rest of the wiring mess under the dash). On the other hand a kill switch unless well hidden is kinda the first thing they'll take a quick look for, and unless they're amateurs they probably already are familiar with the typical spots ppl "hide" the switches in.

The fuel pump inertia switch is located behind the passenger side kick panel on a 1995 MY truck.

You could snag the Dark Green/Yellow power feed wire at C202 inside the engine compartment or trace the wiring from there to the inertia switch then splice into it along the way perhaps.

If you smack the panel really hard, it will trigger the inertia switch. Disabling the fuel pumps. Trust me, I learned this the hard way after putting the trim piece back in. LOL. simply resetting the inertia switch is all you need to do. Quick, easy, no extra wiring. To test this, hit the trim piece hard. Try to start. If no start, check inertia switch. If you reset and it starts, here is a quick easy answer to your question.

Thank you for the reply man. That is the most hillbilly antitheft technique I've ever heard 😂

LOL. I discovered this when replacing my heater core. Removed the trim piece. Replaced heater core. Started truck. Smacked the panel to seat the plastic rivets. Truck died. I had triggered the inertia switch. If I have to park in a shady area now, I hit the panel, verify switch is triggered, and walk away, knowing the average Goomba won't figure it out. Bwahahaha
Do you have dual tanks or single?
If you have a single, there is a blank black jumper where the dual selector switch usually would be. If you take it out the pumps dont run.
Just leave it unbolted and toss it in the glove box when you want to disable the truck, no fancy wiring needed
It will be in this spot, i removed my dash a while back to replace my headlight switch before work, and ran out of time. Cranked the truck and no fuel, wtf... clipped that back in and away i went.

I have two tanks. I'm thinking about doing a single pole double throw switch. Tap into the starter solenoid, neutral safety switch and horn. I'm just trying to figure out all the wires...not much of an electrician 😄
