As the title says, my 2003 rwd supercrew squeaks/creaks like a bed when anyone steps in or out. The sound comes from the front. When the taking off from a stop, the sound will usually continue. When driving straight I can usually hear it as well. When the truck is off and anyone puts any load on the front, the noise is pretty loud as well. If we put any load/force on the front when the front wheels are turned in either direction, the noise is much less noticeable. Looking under the truck while someone else puts load/force on the front end, it is obvious the noise only happens when there is travel on the suspension. The only thing we haven't tried is removing the wheel and inspecting every bushing and/or ball joint. Any ideas as to where we should start looking? Thank you!
Where the upper ball joint attaches to the arm that comes down from where it attaches at two places on your truck attach points there are some bushing rubber types with a bolt going through each side that will squeak/creaks and is called the Ford squeak. The only way to fix it is to change that housing out till they get worn and starts all over again. Look at the bright side as you have to realine the truck after you change it out and if you have never alined the truck before you have to pay extra for the disk stuff that they have to aline by.
