I put a T series transmission in the place of the E series transmission , I changed the wiring harness but only one out of two plugs would connect nutrial safety switch works and I hooked up the TV cable as required for the T series, it goes in reverse and drive but will not **** from 2nd to drive can someone please give me some insight into what I need to do
There's no such thing as a "T-Series" or "E-Series" transmission.
Regardless, your TV cable adjustment is wrong, if you put an AOD in place of an E4OD, and it won't shift right (or the transmission is no good) I think Conanski is also correct, that if you just bolted the AOD up to the engine without changing to the proper flexplate, you've likely got the torque converter either pushed too far into the pump drive, or not far enough.
As was mentioned, did you use the correct flexplate? If you used the E4OD flexplate and then bolted the AOD transmission to the block, the AOD is most likely trashed now.

It's both come from 5.0 engine s
And they bolted right up to the tc ?
They probably will. The bolt/Stud pattern is probably identical. The *depth* of the flexplate, in relation to the crankshaft flange, however, is most likely not.
An automatic transmission doesn't use a flywheel, it uses a flexplate. And yes, I suspect you need to get the proper AOD compatible flexplate. If this is a fully mechanical AOD transmission, the speedometer has nothing to do with it. The *only* input that the AOD uses to determine when and how to shift, is the TV cable.
Ok. I was just checking. I don't have the memory I used to have, but Leebone hasn't been back since several of us tried to help/answer his thread, but Bentlee has made several posts in the thread.
me thinks leebone made the original post, and for whatever reason opened a new account and now goes by bentlee.
either way, without knowing what transmissions he is playing with, no one can help him.
it appears he has a 91 with a 302 and is trying to put in a trans from a 92 with 302.

Both users have same profile so….same person?
Yep. Hard to help when not being given all pertinent information.
