My 2020 F-450 Platinum sat outside for a couple of days with the night preceding this video getting to -15deg F. By 7:30am it had "warmed up" to -11, so I decided to see how well the Scorpion 6.7 diesel started. Here's a short video of it, but it was no problem at all. Nice.
The Fords start great now but that wasn't always the case. My 99 had to be towed into the shop several times when it got too cold for the truck. The oil fired injector system would only tolerate about -30F even plugged in. I had the best luck with the pre '07 Cummins trucks, they would start in stupid cold weather. I had an '06 while dating my now wife, she lived in rural Gunnison. I used to leave the truck out in -40 F not plugged in and it always started. Now I have a gasser and a heated garage to park it in. Always seems to start right up
