Anyone find it annoying that the dealer puts your window sticker and truck info with pictures on their dealership website? They list it as for sale with the price and to call the dealer for availability. I mean I have the deposit on it, I would pay cash for it today if the dealer let me. My truck is currently in production and probably wont get to the dealer until mid March.
For kicks I had my buddy call on it. The dealer said its spoken for but they can add him to a list if the person backs out.

this isnt your dealer doing it, ford(or a sub contractor) runs those sites for the dealer, when ford ships a truck to them they have an automated thing that list it. your dealers not trying to screw you.
I think almost all dealers do this. I was browsing one of the local dealers listings the other day and a lot of the ones that said "IN TRANSIT" has green window stickers.
Almost every vehicle dealer does this. An empty website wont hit on google or look very good to anyone shopping. It allows them to have some content and maybe something about your particular truck will strike a chord with someone else who then proceeds to order one of their own from that dealer.
My truck was listed with a 20k Market Adjustment on it from the time it was scheduled. I paid my original agreed upon price at delivery. it was a non-issue.
My dealer put mine and a white Platinum diesel out in the front row right off the Convoy truck. They sat there waiting for PDI. Note the lack of hubcaps. Well, they had to park them somewhere, right? They did post a few pics on their Facebook page, which was OK by me, and someone may have looked at the trucks but there were no test drives. I kept an eye on their on-line inventory and neither truck showed up as both were retail green stickered trucks. My truck was on the lot overnight and I took delivery the next day. I drove off the lot about 1:30 and the white truck was delivered that morning cause it was gone when I got there. My truck had 9 miles on it when I picked it up.

My new truck never hit the dealer website so I don't know that the above is true for each and every dealer.
For that matter my 2020 F 250 trade in never did either. They must have had someone waiting in the wings for that one.
It’s a way to get buyers interested and probably come in and order one for themselves. If you back out then they also have someone in the wings to buy it. Not annoying. Actually like it,

Don’t care about pics but have a local dealer here (not ford) that puts pics up online and an incorrect Low price, when you call in and I did they say oh that one sold but stop in and we can show you others, lol. Dealer tactics do vary.
