I have a 1962 f350 i'm trying to put different rims on since 17.5" tires are so hard to find. I measured the spacing on lugs and came up with 7 and a quarter inch it's an 6 lug but I can't seem to find this pattern anywhere. Am I measuring wrong or is there another explanation?
I just made a set for mine from a set of 10 lug dually wheels. They have the same bolt diameter and center hole measurement as the 6 lug wheels. I filled all the 6 lug holes and machined the 6 lug pattern into them. It was a lot of work but the result works. It was all done on a Bridgeport mill with a Toke rotary table.
Not sure why 17.5” tires are hard to find. Coker, Universal, M.E. Miller, and Lucas Tire should sell STAs. Tires might cost more than at Wally World but without the expense of new wheels. Stu
Sure, if you are okay with the 16 ply rating. That’s gonna rattle your teeth, but would work. The ad calls it a truck tire but I’d be inclined to see it as a trailer tire. The STA bias ply tire is 8 ply. Stu
it rattles my teeth anyway with the lack of any real suspension lol i don't really drive the truck regularly but I have a fordson model f that i'd get a kick out of towing with it so new tires are a must.

If it rattles your teeth, you old coots need to use more PoliGrip or Fixodent. Maybe some Permatex if you’ve got that lying around.
