8 Lug Rims

Ok i have exhausted my brain.

I am looking to replace the ugly Grey rims on my 95 F350 4x4.
I would like to also go with a bigger tire,Just seems that certain
tire's arent made in a 33.

The only tires i have seen in a 33 were boggers and would really like to stay away from them.

Also anyone seen a 15 inch rim 8 lug ford pattern? IF so where did you find them?

The Tire i am wanting to run is the 33" /12.50

Any Help would be appreciated

There are plenty of 15" 8 lug rims available. Try www.ntwonline.com and if you don't see 8 lug listed on their site give them a call. I just spoke with them about a week ago on the same topic.

On the tire size you're looking for I know without a doubt that the Goodyear MT/R comes in this size. There are plenty of others out there too but I think many of them will be sized as a metric tire so you might check NTW's conversion chart.

One more thing to keep in mind is if you go to a 16" rim your options drastically improve.

I was told by a tire dealer that 96 and older the 15 inch rim would fit.Seems that every site i go to has the 33 in 15's only.I would like to keep a 16 inch rim but it seems the tire selection for metric tires are more abundant in the 15 range.

try this site:

www.intercotire.com

they have a list of every size availible, plus what metrics measure out to in inches, 285/75/16 or 315, etc.

We have a set of trxus mt's in 285/75/16 on a brush unit here at the firehouse, its a 1997 f-350 cc single wheel and they are mounted on the stock 16x6 (or 7) aluminum wheels. They fit and work great.

Welp just figured out why i want to go metric!
the difference between a 33-12.50 and a 305/70 R16
is about $50 per tire.Thats insane! why is the metric
tire cheaper?

And the search goes on

I have Widetrack Radial Baha's in 33x12.5x15 on my 79. I've seen a few others but can't recall what brand they were.

there sould be lots of 33's. I don't know all of the dimensions but i know my bro had 33 inch tsl thornbirds and 33 inch bfg m/t's................at least he said they were 33 but he may have just been saying it's basically a 33 I'm not really sure...so come to think of it this post could be totally useless but hopefully it helps

Finding 33's on a 15 inch rim is not the problem...What is the problem is finding an 8 lug rim in size 15 OR a 33 that will fit a 16.Seems if you go standard your gonna shell out an extra $50 per tire.

IE meaning a 33-12.50 is gonna be $50 less then a
305/70 R 16

I'd recommend that you go with 16" rims and the metric equivalent of 12.5-33 tires.

Three reasons:

Metric tires are cheaper
8-bolt 16" rims are available everywhere
15" rims will hit your front brake calipers.

If you are set on 12.5-33's, consider 16.5" rims. They will fit your F-350. The 16.5" rims do not have a safety bead like the 16" rims do, so if you air down for off-road use it is easier to pop the bead off the rim.

Hmm after much research on the web today.Looks like its gonna be a 16 rim with 305/70 R 16.Even though the Tires are cheaper in metric,Lou is right.16's can be found everywhere and cheap.

Other wise i would have to pay extra for the Rims and save on the tires...So basically it's a vicious circle.
