Hi,
I have a few questions to get a 460 (out of a 4wd F250) into my 1970 F100 (F250)
1. What engine mounts will suit, I have been told that mine are single hole, and the the 4wd F250 have 3 hole, (that it came out of)??
2. The engine came with a BBC6 from a 4wd , he kept the T/C and said I need the 2wd housing, is this all I need and does anyone have one, or can direct me to one!
3. Can I use the original cross member, or do I need to modify or replace
My truck is a 2WD SWB F100, but I think the cab was replaced with a F250 bumpside, I'm pretty sure they are the same.
The engine I brought (460 with BBC6) was out of a 4WD F250 with electronic ignition, the seller kept the T/C as I didn't require it for 2WD application, he also kept the oil filter housing as he said it would not fit my truck?
I have read a few threads, but they are a bit contradictory when it comes to engine mounts, BBC6 output shaft housing ect. i.e. do I need just the BBC6 2WD output shaft housing OR do I need the 2WD output shaft as well??
Can attach photo's if it helps
Thanks,
Mark

Easiest thing to do for mounts in L&L Products. They do conversion mounts to the 385. Also have really nice chassis exit headers, I have both and they are well made pieces.
No info on the crossmember, as I am not at that stage yet, but easy enough to make work.
You need the required engine perches/stands to the crossmember besides the required engine mounts for the block itself. As mentioned you can use L&L Products perches, or Autofab perches. As for the C-6, best way is to sell it and get a 2wd version as there are more of them out there, than having to piece something together.
if that is a real '4x4, 460, C6' (not from a 400 or 351M) then it is worth some $. It should have big drums in it. Worth 2-3x a 2wd version.
Buy a 2wd and sell the 4x4. The output shaft is worth more than a new core.
