PSD Vs. Duramax
I'm 18 years of age, and have owned two Ford trucks. (2002 F-350 7.3L, and the truck in my sig.) Ford by doubt is the toughest, best selling trucks out there. My 6.0L diesel with the 110HP chip is unbelievable. I can't comment on the Dodge or the Chebbies, because I haven't drove any of them, and don't intend to. So far, all the truck's I've "ran against" didn't have a prayer.
End of rant.

Married at a Ford Dealership? Wow, talk about brand loyalty, I don't even have THAT much brand loyalty

by the way what did you do for a living.
) getting a 5th wheel sometime next year. I traded in my 02, because my 02 was a Super Cab, and I needed a Crew Cab(rear seating area lacked in my super cab), saw and test drove the new 6.0L, and said "I have to have that"
So, I sell my 02 on my own, and 4 weeks later, have a new truck in the driveway.
3=you can always tell true ford owner ,,from the wantbe,, true ford owner useing they wait a few yrs before they a new truck,, so all the good and bad points come out ,that yr of truck..
IMO, anyone who puts the brand loyal blinders on is doing themselves a dis-service. There are a lot of great trucks and great motors out there to choose from. Why not compare them? I think a dealers service dept is a bigger issue than brand.
let me start whith saying, i have expeince whith Isuzu motors (the makers of the D-max). They are whoefully underpowered but will pull vary hard and will be vary duarble.
My 6.0PSD is slower than my 01 dmax was at this point. I assume it'll eventually get there after 10-20k breakin miles but you guys are just doing the put the blinders on, I'm brand loyal thing. The dmax is a strong, quiet, reliable motor and my new 6.0PSD has some big shoes to fill.

if you like your 01 dmax,, so much ,,why did you buy a ford,,
we can get in a another story about service dept from a dealer,,
only one really likes the service dept,, are elders people,,females,,
white collar people,,and people in gentle that don't care ,,
most techs in the sevice dept ,,go by what the dealership say and by the manfuc say in the book or tech statement,,I know that for a fact.
I take my vehicles if needed to a diesel shop or a place beening
old fashion mech work for yrs,,and they know what their doing.
dont tell me you aren't a brand loyal of something.
chev and gmc corpation ,,only think about huge profit ,,,larger sells.
ford corpation- been getting bad the last few yrs also.
the best pickup diesel engine out there is dodge cumins,,I have heard from ford diesels owners also,,
Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
It will help you find all the little terms such as lol or imo.

To get a suburban with a diesel. We own stock in ford (
) and have owned them before. Why shouldn't I buy ford?I think you're saying that only old people, women, educated folks and folks that don't care about their vehicles go to their dealer's service dept, right? While I probably fit in there somewhere, I'd think anyone buying new trucks or trucks with warranties would be going to their dealer to have the work done. Why would I pay for it anywhere else when I can get it done free at the dealer? So a service dept that gets the job done on time, doesn't give me any hassles and gets it right the first time is very important to me.
If you think any auto manufacturer isn't interested in the bottom line above all else, you're sadly mistaken.
Okay, if YOU say so, well, that's good enough for me.
you are right about about the warrant work,, I would get it done at the dealer to,,what I meant by that statement was I did not quote right way,,, I meant older vehicles that don't have any warrant,,
special like people in past- that have problems with dealership service in the past..
my last statement is auto manufacturer,,, should think twice before botton line,,, customer should always come first,,thats the problem with this country NO AMERICA PRIDE any more,,just GREEDY =GREEDY=GREEDY for the green paper $$$.
I believe in what our america fathers find this country for,,, and what henry ford say about the working man..
