Replacement OEM Locking Hub Dial/***** for 87-96 Dana 60
Hello all,
I am wondering if there is a place to source new aftermarket (or even OEM) locking hub dials for these dana 60s.
I see that Torque King and a website tdsideas.com have them for the dent-side 3/4 ton dana 60s and superduties, but none for our generation. I also contacted Warn Industries for replacement parts due to my understanding they are who supplied Ford with them back then. They replied that they do not have replacement parts for OEM hub lockers. I am guessing this is due to the fact that our hubs are immediately upgraded, but I wonder why when mine is working satisfactorily after 32 years despite the damage.
The problem with mine (and most everyone else's) is UV damage combined with wear and tear, as evident in my pictures.
Looking forward to some information! Thank you in advance.

Hmm. You may have issues finding them. I would upgrade to a newer or more availabe ****/cover since it looks like the internals may be compatible with a newer type ****. You can also repair that with epoxy and get new ford decals for it. They ARE made by Warn!, go tell them they dont know what they are talking about
Ironically, when searching for locking hubs on the Dana Aftermarket website, Warn hubs populates. Despite that information, I am still unable to find where you would source these from Dana Spicer if they do offer them. They are not offered anywhere.

Just saw that you revised your comment. I wonder if I just called Warn and asked them for replacement dial if it would fit.

Not sure about the D60 but the OEM for the D44 is Warn.
The color and the sticker seems to be the only difference.

if you ask for a replacement dial that would fit vs for that red one, you may get somewhere. I would look for a used hub online honestly me personally, find one from dodge or gm they may be more abundant. I think they were the same just diff color
Ford used a red dial while Warn dials are black otherwise they are the same. Neither Warn nor Ford services the dial as a separate part. In order to find just the dial you will need to find a used part in better condition than what you have.

i suppose dials dont work from the smaller half and 3/4 ton hubs because of diameter difference, huh?

This is exactly the information I needed. I think the hub service kit is what AuroraGirl shared before.

Does anyone think there would be interest in aluminum replacement dials for their OEM locking hubs? I may attempt machining my own for kicks, and would make more if there was interest. I will return here with results if that comes to fruition.
