78' F250 XLT, 460, C6, MSD Ignition, D60 F/R, power sliding rear window, elec fuel pump, nothing too radical. I was considering redoing the wiring system using American Automotive Hwy 22 kit to gain some room in the fuse block and upgrade my 40yr plus old wiring. https://www.americanautowire.com/sho...-wiring-system
Anybody done this and have thoughts on if this is the right kit to go with.
I did this with a Painless Wiring harness because the gremlins were too hard to chase after. The Painless harness worked, but I would probably go with American the next time. This one looks like it has everything you need, and half the price. Let me know if you have any questions. It was a huge project for me, and took a long time. All the little electrical things you have added will make it take longer. I would recommend doing anything you can to make your life easier, which may mean getting this truck specific kit. https://www.americanautowire.com/sho...79-ford-bronco.
Thank you for the feedback. I did not realize AA made a vehicle specific. My shop skills are avg at best so I will probably heed your advice and put this off for a bit but lean towards the kit you pointed out when the time is right.

When I started, I would have rated my skills slightly below average. No single part is overly difficult or complicated. It is just a large project, and frustrating when you think you everything wired right, and something doesn't work (like the dome light). It is doable if you have the skill to do the MSD ignition, power window, and electric fuel pump. It is just all of that x1,000 and on steroids.
Don't let me make you think you can't do it if you have to. Just it is a huge potential headache if you don't. My truck was down a long time. Now that it is done, I am very happy I did it. I just don't want to do it again.
I copy. Like the learning curve I had when I thought I could take a day and replace the heater core (Air Condition truck) with only a half days time to play with. Ok, wiring not off the table but maybe a winter shop project.
Thanks, I'll check it out. Found it after pulling the dash out to paint and putting everything back in, or so I thought.
If that was under your dash, I should not be the horn relay. Not sure what it is then. Horn relay should be in the engine compartment, in between the battery and starter solenoid.
