Just my luck. I have been thinking and re-thinking my engine/transmission options and decided to stay with the 239 y-block (for now, at least while I'm rebuilding the motor from a CV) mounted to a TKX T5. I even bought the CV. Then, I found a Coyote 5.0 already paired with a T-45, only 10 miles from my home.
UGH! I know I am early in my project, but I'm tired of overthinking.
I have only purchased the CV. About a month ago, I had found a Coyote crate motor for less than $2500. I decided against it because it was only the short block. A good friend thought I would have more money in completing the engine, when compared with what I wanted to spend. He also mentioned the amount of decisions needed to complete the motor, I suggested I opt for a running motor.
I wish I had the space for a third truck. My son is wanting to fix up my 1993 F250, which has a 460. Before he said he wanted to fix up the truck, I had considered using the 460 in 1958. The motor was running when I parked the 1993; parked because of brake line issues and gasoline nearing $4 per gallon.
