Which shocks?

I’ve got a 2015 F250 with rancho shocks (original) and they are quite terrible. I’ve put Bilstein shocks on my F150 and been pleased. But thought since I joined here I’d see if others had input.

I do tow a 6.5k TT maybe once a month for camping, but even with the horrible ranchos it’s been decent. I don’t think I need top of the line, just something better.

Aftermarket Rancho shocks are OK, much better than the stock FX-4 Rancho branded shocks. Bilstein are also very good.

Rancho 9000s are very good and I have also had good luck with Bilsteins. Don't think you will go wrong with either. Because we haul a truck camper, I like being able to adjust the Ranchos.

Sold. I’ll stick with Bilstein. Anything is better than stock.

Bilstein is pretty good. I am running the Fox 2.0 reservoir shocks on my truck and have not had any issues.

my understanding is those are also rebuild able? Those were also on the list, but more expensive.

Yes they are rebuildable. But they are pricey.

I like the adjustability of my Rancho 9000's. You cant go wrong with either Bilstein's or Rancho's.

I've got the Bilstein 5100's and the steering stabilizer. The ride is very compliant while empty and much improved while towing. I swapped out the FX4 Ranchos at about 55k miles. Going with Fox or higher end Ranchos, I'm sure I would've been very happy as well. For what it's worth, my truck is stock height with slightly larger (heavier) wheels and tires.

That is very similar to me. 60k stock height, but on 20’s which make things about an inch taller. I have Bilstein shocks and steering stabilizer on the way.

Went with Bilstein.

The originals wouldn’t even rebound.

The rears and steering damper are meant to arrive today.

Looks good. I know when I replaced my factory shocks the one I took off the right front would not rebound at all and the factory ones only had around 41000 mils on them.

These had 60k. Both wouldn’t rebound and might have had water in them or at least that’s how it sounded when I pressed them. It is Oregon after all.

Rears arrived today so see how those are.

Rears went a lot faster. Originals had a little rebound to them, but could be pushed easily with one hand.
