I have an 82 f350 I picked up a few years ago. It is set up as a dump truck. Title lists the truck as a cab and chassis. But, from what I'm seeing the frame looks like a regular f350 pickup truck frame. What should I look for to be sure before I pull the dump body off to be sure a pickup bed will bolt right on?
If your frame is 34 inches wide, it's a cab and chassis frame. The pickup frame will be wider. Someone could have put the cab with the cab and chassis numbers onto a regular pickup frame. The cab and chassis frame is only narrow in the back, at the cab area forward they are the same as pickup frames.
P.S. Those springs in the picture above do look like regular pickup springs. The cab and chassis trucks I have messed with have 2.5 inch wide springs and it's a tall stack with many leaves in it.
I have a 86 f350 flat bed and am trying to put a rear fuel tank on but the 38gal one that’s supposed to fit won’t. Any information if the cab chassis are different for that? This is the skid plate that’s supposed to hold the fuel tank. That is the 38gal and it’s too big
