if you are using this for the street, i would recomend a limited slip. alburn i have heard was pretty good with limited slips. i would recomend a locker for any one who drags his car, or to someone who off-roads. if you are driving around town alot you will get annoied of the clunks a locker gives.

Ahh....Mine will be a daily driver...but I do plan on going to the track to see how well I can perform. I was thinking of going with the Auburn pro series LSD. Kind of the happy medium.

Any input on that Texan?

i'd say that would work fine for you, it will lay down two patches of rubber while you would never notice it was there other wise. i think you will like it. good luck.

EATON, EATON, EATON, EATON. Auburn is a "light to medium duty" according to THEM. The cone type auburn setup (unless the "pro" is something different from them) won't last as long as the disc type or Eaton type. When I was putting new posi in the vette, not one single shop would warranty the unit (they assembled, and set it up the 4.55 gears for me) assembly. They said when it broke, I would have to go direct to auburn and get parts only from auburn, then have it redone. With the EATON they gave me 12 mo. on the install. Good luck, and SERIOUSLY look at EATON for LSD.

Whoops...I completely forgot Ford. I am kinda absent minded some times. Forgive me! Hehe. Any how....I think it would come down to price vs situational need. I think they both make a quality product, you just need whats best for you. I am still leaning towards the Auburn, until I can find info on the Eaton.

Both are very good units, tho the eaton will last much longer and are much easier to beef up. They can be run with i think like 8 clutch discs and 800lb springs, ALOT of force to get the discs to slip.
