But I don't see a Falcon as a 6 passenger car! But it is cheaper than 'our rear engine competitor."

I'm surprised they were allowed to make that commercial. Only in the first season, 1957/1958 I think, did the Cleavers drive Fords. The second season they switched networks and drove Chrysler products the rest of the series.

How Cool! Thanks for posting. I have been walking on the tread mill every morning and watch Leave it to Beaver on Me TV. What a great show! As mentioned the first ones show 2 Fords in the opening, and later one show Chryslers. There is one later show where Lumpy drives Wards Plymouth and floods it out. Great TV!!

I always liked the Starliner , never see any around. Was 1960 the only year Ford offered it?

2 years. 60 and 61. It's really hard to find pictures of stockers, they're popular with the restomod crowd.

A now passed on friend of mine had a '60 Starliner almost exactly like this, except he had red steel wheels and dog dish caps on it. FE Tri-Power engine with lots of original 60's Holman-Moodey parts and a 4 speed.

I adjusted the solid lifters and synchronized the carbs for him once. For a big car, it ran pretty darn good. He had the original Holman-Moody cam spec and adjustment sheet and plate with it. I went to a few car shows with him, and it always got a lot of attention.

Got my first speeding ticket in a strait six two speed automatic. Dad was not to pleased but curious how it got to 70. The big downhill coming back from school helped. Did a lot of wrenching keeping that thing on the road until it decided to throw a rod through the side of the block.
