Which power steering box would you recommend for a volare front clip in a 56 F-100, I was looking at the ones from Firmfeel. They have three different ones, Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
There has been some threads here on volare boxs if you do a search you should find some help . If not my reply will bump your question up nd someone with some knowledge may come along .
I highly suggest the firmest box you can get because the common complaint on the factory boxes are they are very sensitive and twitchy. That is the complaint I have with mine. There is a member (wemay) that purchased a Borgenson box for his but I have not seen a follow-up as to whether or not he has had a chance to test it on the road. A little bit more money but they make good pieces and it is a lot smaller than a factory box if you need the extra room. I added a link to his post that shows pictures of both boxes side by side.
Thanks for the info. on the steering box, I am going to get a Borgeson box, I think that is the best way to go, I just have to find out what sector shaft I have, 1 1/8 or 1 1/4
Easy install and handles much better, Plus it is much smaller then that big monster, I had the 1 1/4 shaft, You do have to get the new P/S lines and u joint.
