not happy with vortex muffler
I have a 99 f-150 5.4L with a vortex cherry bomb muffler with dual pipes and stainless steel tips. I would like a muffler with a deeper sound, any recommendations?

when you say dual pipes to you mean true duals or a catback setup? im running a single in dual out 40 series flowmaster and it sounds very deep. it has an awesome idle too. this is without tips.

mines a catback setup as well. though if you think you need it to sound louder simply put on a high flow cat. i haven't done this to mine yet but its on my to do list. i can't wait to hear how it sounds with a high flow cat. though if you like the sound of tips you might want to consider them. they resonate and amplify the sound. thats the poping you hear on some trucks. to me it sounds ok when the pop has enough bass. though i kinda prefer how my truck sounds right now, its one big rumble that grows as you accel.
