4.9 liter I-6 Reman Recomendations
Hi, I have an '87 F-150 with the 4.9 Liter I-6 with rod knock, and II am looking to buy a remanufactured engine to swap it with. I keep on seeing a lot of conflicting information on which companies to use. Can anybody steer me in the right direction?

10 people will give 5 different answers, but, depending on your area, look at reviews, can you do the work yourself, if not the shop usually has a "go to motor guy" and will whine, cry, and whimper, about the ba mistake your making not using the motor, he suggests.

Try and get one from local wrecking yard?
Know as the 1/2 million mile motor.
Ford used to have GPD division, many years ago.
They re-manufactured many types of parts.
Call your Ford dealer and see what they know, if anything?
