Struggle for power
99 V10, p0300 p0401, runs great first thing in the am or first drive after sitting a while, but then starts to struggle with accelerating over 3k, losing power over 3k or under load. Revs fine and all day in park or neutral, but in gear struggles over 3k, sometimes 2500. Flat foot flooring it, still won't go over 3k with a load unless I'm going downhill, or it's that first few drives. What could it be? So far I'm rounding up fuel pump/filter, have to get pressure tested tomorrow.

You can remove the o2 sensors and run it. If your power comes back and there is a ton of exhaust pressure coming out of those holes you can pretty much conclude the cat is plugged. Or the pieces broke up and clogged the muffler. I had that happen on a Honda CR-V once.
