Recently the subject of posting non-Ford truck pictures in a User's gallery came up. I thought I'd put up a sticky to remind all users to take a few minutes to review the Forum Guidelines. I try to avoid throwing the rule book on the table every chance I get, but on occasion, we all need to stop and take a few minutes to remind ourselves that there are guidelines established, and we agreed to those guidelines when we joined FTE.
I do not think there is any intentional effort to break the rules. Instead, I think it is just a matter of getting caught up in the fray and stretching the guidelines before it is realized what is occuring.
So, here's a link
edited to add: one other thing to mention: It seems threads have developed a tendency to "veer slightly off topic". While I appreciate and encourage friendly interaction among all FTE users, please be mindful of the threads. Each thread has an "owner". We do others an injustice if their thread is hijacked and gets carried off into never-never land. Try to keep posts, at worst case, indirectly related to the subject at hand. Nonrelated subjects are perfect for private e-mails, the GC Forum, or The Pig Pen.
You know the culprits here, and so do we. We do, in fact, get carried away in posting frenzy. What can I say, we're idiots. You only have read some of our conversations to determine that for yourself. However, contained within our sometimes rediculous conversations is some really good engine mod and problem comments that come up. It just sometimes gets all mixed in together.
For instance, why o why is there a thread called "TomLongo" (ahem, Joseph)? See what I mean. It's our fault and we know who we are. We're guilty as charged and will make effort to mend our evil ways.
To Tom and the rest of "the group"......
Thanks much for the positive comments and the light-hearted attitude. What you don't know is my concern over frustrating you guys and possibly running you off.
Tom is right, there is often VERY good info buried in many of the post here. That is a lot of the value you guys bring to the forum. You have knowledge and experiences that others can benefit from.
Other than that, you are just a bunch of goofy buffoons!
NO no no!! I see how you are now Brian. Deep down your just a....Goof ball with us, LoL. Did I get ya on the edge of the seat to see what was next? Cool. In all seriousness though, I agree with these guys. Sometimes you forget its a tech forum and not the general discussion. But I blame Tom, for posting soooo many times anyways.
Well, I don't think I'll be accountable for these 3 ninnies. While I think it's Garrett's fault for being in California, it's all just a matter of opinion. Garrett, how's Arnold?
Ahh, Arizona eh? I've never been to Arizona before...BrianA, I think we are just doomed to taking a subject off task...sorry. It's Miss' Epleberry's fault! She treated like a child for 1007 seconds! GAWD!
