Heat the cabin, no. Its more to keep the fog of the windshield.
150 watt seems way to low that's only 12 amps dc, maybe you missed a zero?

The Rapid Heat has some constraints on how and when it works.
1st off it has to be cold, both out side air and the coolant temps have to be below a certain temp for it to even turn on. But as you said, It's January, probably hitting those numbers.
2nd it only runs until the coolant temps hits 100°. In my truck that is about 1 mile or less from my house and I've hit that coolant temp. So the Rapid heat doesn't run until the cab is warm, only until the coolant has started to get warm enough to do the job.
3rd. I find the rapid heat does a great job of getting the frost off the windshield. Hit the remote start and by time I get outside the windshield is already melting off. But it takes a while to take the chill out of a Cold Soaked cab.
It's just not designed to heat the cab. Just give it a boost until the coolant can do the job.

Supplemental heater on mine will run you out of the cab on cold mornings.
It is blowing super hot air way before the water temp gauge starts to move.
Yes, you do have to turn the temp up to get it to work.

What really bugs me about it is it doesn't turn on until the key is turned on, so if you remote start the cab doesn't start to get warmed until AFTER you get in and put the key in and turn it to on. So, you remote start and still come out to a cold cab in the morning. STUPID setup.

My 2019 F250 6.7L has Rapid Heat. Where I really notice the benefit is on cold, cold mornings like below 0F. It definitely gets the cab warmer during the 15 minute remote start period. No way that with the temp gauge reading 80F or so the cab would be as warm as it is. And I have the heat set to "Auto" also. There is a definite benefit to using the block heater, but if I forget that, the Rapid Heat helps. Included it on the 2022 order due to my experience.

Yeah, was too early for such math like things. 3 50 AMP relays = 150 Amps, 150 Amps at 12 Volts = 1800Watts. 150 Amps at 14 volts is 2100 Watts Again about the output of a decent Conair hairdryer.

Interesting the different experiences. It was -2F two weeks ago where I was at and with remote start windshield started defrosting immediately. All was in auto…

If you know it’s going to be cold make sure it’s on Auto and A/C is on. I know many that turn this off and then have fogging issues. If you leave the A/C on the compressor will still assist in dehumidifying the air. At times Ford seems to turn this off and I haven’t figured out when it happens. Most modern cars/trucks use the A/C to assist in dehumidifying the air.

A/C is typically designed not to engage the compressor below a certain outside air temperature, usually around 40 degrees.

In older applications yes, but most modern units will still engage to dehumidify air. Some and per Fords manual even if you deselect it will still run under certain conditions.

Ever wonder why a modern car doesn’t fog as bad as an old 60’s vehicle in winter! It’s because most (actually can’t think of a modern car that’s not, but sure there’s some brand that’s not) are using the A/C for dehumidification.

Do you have the windshield wiper de-icer option that has the heat element in the windshield under the wipers?

I do not as last year of availability from my understanding is 2020.
2021+ is no longer an option…

I’m not sure if Ford change any of these parameters form the earlier Rapid heat systems but on 08-10 trucks the rapid heat uses theses parameters to turn on:

Engine rpm: >500
Engine coolant temperature: -40c - 83c (-40f - 181f) turns off >84c (183f)
Alternator load: 0-15% low heat mode, 16-85% full heat mode, 86-96% low heat mode, 97-100% turns off
HVAC request for rapid heat, requires HVAC to be set to heat mode.

Note: these are the parameters that the rapid heat requires to turn on, the HVAC has its own requirements that must be met before request the Rapid heat to turn on.

Rapid heat has 3 heat settings, each heat setting draws 40A for a total of 120A.

Here is what the Rapid heat unit looks like
