Might check to see if you have fuel pressure at the fuel rail by depressing the Schrader valve on the fuel rail with the key in the run position. Fuel should squirt out. Check the pressure with a gauge if you have access to one. If you have pressure my bet is on bad ECM not triggering the injectors.
I was going to reply with something like how the heck do you mess up a PCM by swapping out the starter. But I guess you could possible do some damage when hooking up the battery. About half way through my reply, it dawns on me that they do reset their memory if disconnected for a period of time, when this happens, it will run the pumps continuously until it starts the truck. May have missed this info above, but Does it kick over if you use starter fluid? If not, are you sure you are getting spark?
if your good at counting flashes, I'm not it always comes out 122, 221, or 8675309(thats not rite!)
Same here. That’s why I have a code reader.

Umm…..no. Just because you disconnected the battery for a while it should not run the pump for more than a couple seconds.

I completely disagree with your statement. Why would resetting the power to the computer cause it to run continuously when you cycle the key from the Off to Run position?
That function is hard coded in the computer. No amount of power cycling or clearing codes is ever going to change the hard coding. As I stated before the most common symptom of a bad computer is the fuel pump runs continuously when you cycle the key from Off to Run. This caused by the timer inside the computer not resetting. Whether or not you physically see any burned or leaking components inside the computer case is luck of the draw.
If the OP can actually get any codes out of the computer remains to be seen. I suspect, as others have found, there will most likely be no codes. Another sign of a bad computer. If they do get codes they may be gibberish.
For the sake of the OP's wallet thickness I hope they can find some other tangible clue that replacing the computer is the most likely resolution here.

I reinstalled the old computer, the switch is on and the shrader has pressure. Is that a bad computer?

ok I have pressure at the shrader just no gas to the injectors.
What is it going to take for you to believe everyone that has already pointed out what your problem is? You have a broken PCM and no action beside replacing it will get your truck running again.
