Weird. On all the trucks I looked at when I was looking to buy, when they had dual alternators it was listed as dual extra heavy duty. I love the "No Charge" next to it.
Nothing about dual or heavy duty on my sticker, but it indeed has two of them under the hood totaling 397 amps.
What was the option that gave you the dual alternators at no charge? Mine shows as dual extra heavy duty altrntr but has a $115 charge.
Mine was a combination of the snow plow/camper package and the upfitter switches. The snow plow/camper package bumped it up to the 200A alternator, and then the upfitters on top of that pushed it to the dual 332A alternators.

To add to the goofy mix, get a 7.3L gasser and click dual batteries/alternators and you get the biggest set up available, 397 amps. Why not skip the dual 332 amp and only offer the 397? Any dual alternator would be the bigger set up. This sort of thing drives up the price of the trucks, IMHO.
