Oil Shortage!

I found two 2.5 gallon Rotella T6 15W-40 jugs yesterday at O'Reilly's for $75 each. I talked to the counter guy and he said that his store always gets oil deliveries on Tuesdays - except for the two jugs I found there - they had come in that morning (Thursday) with his regular parts order. He said it is very random and that all of the stores in this area are complaining about availability - especially for their fleet customers.

So I am having a very difficult time finding engine oil! I have some T6 for one more oil change however the shelves are void of just about all diesel engine oil around here. I even looked for Travelers oil at TSC with no luck. Anyone else experiencing this? I don't get it, there is plenty of gasser oil. Also I have asked this before several years ago but what are your thoughts on Super Tech? I have been using ST synthetic in my gas engines for some time now and I have researched it enough to know that it is a good oil however I have not found enough data on their diesel oil. I would prefer synthetic but I am ok with conventional especially if it is my only option. Walmart does have some SuperTech on the shelf and although it is not on the Ford approved oil list is does have their standard on the back of the bottle. Maybe if Ford updated their list it would be on there? I think the latest list is dated May 2018. And just to clarify because I know some on here like getting their jabs in, it has nothing to do with cost it is all about what is available. So save the "OP buys an 80K dollar truck and he is trying to save $5 on an oil change" comments!!

Thank you J4thclass for the Pro tip about Home Depot.
Went online to check the availability of the Shell Rotella T6 at Home Depot yesterday in Boynton Beach, FL.
Saw they had stock of the T6. Drove to the store to buy. When I arrived, there was no sign of any Shell Rotella T6 at all. Or any signs on the shelf that they even carried the oil.
Went to the Pro desk to inquire. They had 9 1-gallon jugs of 5w-40 on a special display near the Pro desk.
Bought all in store for $22. and change each. 9 Gallons!
Now I can use the 5w-40 for my next change due soon. And I still have some Rotella T6 in the 10w40 grade for summer use. ( the only T6 I could find in the last few months.) As pointed out above, the 10w40 T6 is fine for my use in South FL. However, heading out on a trip North soon and did not want to worry about temps below 20 degrees. (lower temp limit for T6 10w-40 as per Shell specifications)

I even had to visit three stores to find oil for my gasser. I would like to run the Rotella "gas truck" oil but Rotella anything is not in stock in our smaller town. The gal that checked me out at O-Reilly's said that they haven't seen a decent stock of diesel oil in a long time. I should probably go back today and pick up a few more jugs of my current choice to go with my small stock of filters. If this keeps up, that 10k change interval looks better and better...
