Ordered my 2022 F150 XLT Powerboost on Nov 2nd the truck was built on Dec 20th, and has now been sitting on a "ramp" in Illinois (I'm in Wisconsin) since Dec 21st. Waiting for a trucking company to pick the thing up and deliver it to the dealer. I have now received three different emails that keeps pushing back the delivery date. I would love to trade in my 2017 F250 for a new F-150, but not joking they are way too expensive. Even if they gave me 17k over what I owe, if I buy another 2021/22 XLT with the 3.5 I am looking at 55k or so sticker....w o w. That is amazing to me for a truck.
I drive a BMW M340 for my DD, and even that amazing car was only 61k sticker....I love having a truck, but I am stunned at how much they cost nowadays.

With the added utility of a truck, modern trucks have all of the features of high end German cars and they also have some features that no German vehicle has so the price is right in line unless one really thinks that the name on the hood is worth the price.
I ordered my '22 King Ranch today and my dealer told me to be prepared to wait 8 months. He said KRs specifically, are taking longer than others, and he already has some orders that have been hanging for 4-5 months.
I'm about to order a Lariat myself. With quite a few options.. 502A..
Four-Wheel Drive
Ford Co-Pilot360™ Active 2.0 Package
Tonneau Pickup Box Cover – Hard Folding
Spray-In Liner
Wheel Well Liner
7.2kW power generator
Interior: Baja Tan Leather, 40 / Console / 40
B&O Unleashed Sound System
I'm afraid all of that is going to take it a very long time...

Wonder what it is specific to that model?
Wow…….The waiting time on an ordered vehicle is usually around 8 weeks.
Outside of the KR specific trim, there’s nothing special or specific to the KR compared to let’s say a Lariat or a Platinum which comes standard with massaging seats and powered running boards.

Doesn't appear to be just KR and Platinum that are delayed now, Lariats and XLTs are being held up, too. A group of 15-20 of us with trucks scheduled to be built this week are finding that the delivery ETA for many of us have been pushed this week from February to May. BCE modules are populated on the build tracking site indicating the trucks are being built, so speculation is that some modules are not available. These trucks were ordered late October through November so we are looking at a full wait time from date of order of 6 months, minimum.
Edit1: Many of those dates that were moved out to May have subsequently moved back to February.
Edit2: Some of those that were moved back to February are still showing as "Chip Hold" on dealer Vehicle Visibility Reports...

I ordered my Lariat mid-june 2021. Got it a couple days before thanksgiving. It's the damn chip (and other parts) shortage.
