this are my questions. my 79 bronco has a 351m 2bbl carb and it gets about 7mpg. would you put a different carb on it and if so which one? i have been thinking about leaving the same intake on there and just adding a 600cfm carter carb. i think that will help out gas mileage. my other question is, how many cfm are the stock carbs that come on a 79 bronco?

I would go edelbrock intake and carb. get rid of that cast iron intake is heavy.any weight savings will also help mpg. also going to a 4barrel will give better gas mileage due to its smaller primarys. sure once you step on it the gas goes down but if you stay light on the pedal you will see the benifits. You will also gain some good HP/torque from this combo as well.
I believe the 2brrl cfm are around 450 but could be wrong
