Let's all have a great 2022 chatting year thread
Man, went outside this morning to put some air in the tires of my mother-in-laws car and that wind was absolutely bitter with a capital B. By the time I got air in the tires (that cold weather thing where the air pressure drops) my fingers were aching. I went out with the boys and they headed into the house to warm up.
Oh well, good thing I'm retired. I wouldn't be making any money if I was getting paid for getting things done.
Have a good evening.
Sitting here looking at the weather forecasts and wondering who'll guess it right??
It would be a good idea to get your generator, firewood, etc. ready. One of the local channels says it'll snow, then rain, then snow again, then start to melt on Monday. I guess we'll find out. Not supposed to be as bad around here as west and north of us.
Have a great day. Time to get the coffee going before I wake up my wife to stand in front of the fire place and drink some of that hot coffee.
Got decently warm today, in front of the garage (faces south). When I walked over to the dog pen or back to the house that wind would get my attention.
I got to sample the pork roast that my wife cooked today so she could barbecue it for dinner tomorrow. Then I went outside to see the dogs for their evening biscuit and petting and just about got mobbed. I guess I need to brush my teeth before going outside after eating that barbecue tomorrow. They just knew the biscuits weren't the only thing I had for them. Just kept coming back and trying to get up on my leg, sniffing my pockets, looking me dead in the eyes when I talked to them (smelling the pork on my breath.)
Have a great evening guys.

Hope everyone is ready for the storm, whatever it brings.
Sunny here this morning. Supposed to be warm today. The new governor gets a fairly decent weather day for the ceremonies. Hopefully it's a good omen and the "sun will shine" on us for the next four years at least.
Hope everyone has a great Friday and good weekend, snow, sleet, rain, or all three.
Better safe than sorry I guess. Too bad the spreading of salt brine will rust the vehicles.
Weather was pretty decent here today, except for the wind. When I went out for the last dog visit of the day around 430 PM the thermometer on the shed porch read 52 F. Forgot to look at the thermometer in the shed.
Had all the kids over this evening for pork barbecue, backed beans, cole slaw and macaroni salad. Got feeling the beans will be waking me up a couple times tonight. Used to pass up stuff like that when I was still working. Being retired it doesn't matter if I have to get up two or three times at night. I just sleep later in the morning or take a nap in the afternoon - or both.
Have a great weekend if the storm passes you by.
Got everything ready? Hopefully this area is on the edge of the storm's path to the north and north east.
Just gonna stay around the house the next two or three days (me). Looks like the start of the storm will be late enough tomorrow that my wife can get to church and back alright.
Have a great day and hope the weather passes you by and the snow melts quickly.
I sat on the couch all day reading and fiddling on the computer. My wife did try some chocolate croissants this afternoon. Sacrificed a couple nice dark chocolate candy bars for the attempt. Not bad, really, just crumbly but the chocolate and butter made up for it.
What's the difference between "New York Pizza" and regular pizza? Papa Johns is advertising New York style pizza and I'm curious enough I might go get one tomorrow and pay the price Sunday (not supposed to eat gluten stuff, but sometimes it's worth it
if the food is good enough).Hope the storm gets past without causing too much trouble.
Have a great evening.
