What fluids you suggest for a 3.03 transmission , a open carry differential , & roller bearing manual steering box ???
I see Ford XG-1C GREASE is recommended. for steering box. It may be dealer only & expensive. I am thinking any GLIC ??? # 2 GRADE equivalent will work.
Trans & diff I have no idea currently...........What u guys think ?????????? Have a drink 4 me............Cheers...........
That grease is meant for ball joints, u-joints, etc. I can see it used in the steering box but not tranny and read end. I would use 80W/90 of a GOOD well known brand if you don't go Ford Motorcraft. Example would be Valvolene. Different manufactures of grease and oils add different additives to them.
I used multi purpose chassis grease in my steering gear, and 80W-90 gear oil in the trans (NP435) and rear axle (Dana 70 with limited slip). Added a friction modifier (from Napa) to the diff oil. I've been told by reputable sources that Napa Brand oils are actually Valvoline under different label.
