Anyone Running Cooper SST Pro Tires..?
Any Pro’s and Cons..About these Tires…Or Any Recommendations … Need Something That’s Good in The Snow…
Ran Toyo’s ATIII On My Chevy 2500, The Price of Toyo’s Is Starting To Go Threw The Roof…Looking To Upgrade The Stock Tires on My Ordered 2022 350 Platinum 7.3.. Due In The End Of February..
I don't have the Pro series, but I do have the ST Maxx and really like them. I have used them for several years on my 2000 F350, and now run them on my 2020 F350 CCSB 7.3. 295/70/18
I have them on my truck. Made in USA, ride great on the highway. Have not had them offroad or in the snow. Have them on my new truck and had them on my old truck.
I strongly considered the SST pros but ended up one notch tamer with the Discovery AT3 XLT. The Discovery XLTs are very quiet on the highway but still have a reasonably aggressive look, and are great in the wet and snow.
I second the Discovery AT3 XLT's. As soon as these original Goodyears wear out I'll be going with the Coopers. Had them on my last truck and was very happy with them.
The STT Pro probably is not what you want if winter traction is a concern. This is pretty much a mud tire with very little siping. It is not winter rated like so many others. I personally have never had good luck with Coopers, especially in the winter. I know people that have run them in the winter but that isn't really what these tires would be best for.
I’ve have run STT’s on my last 3 trucks and they are great. They wear great As long as you don’t run max psi all the time. I off road pretty hard and air down to 15 psi on the sand and 20-25 on the dirt. Never had a flat and never gotten stuck. I think they’re great in the snow but if snow were all I were doing I’d probably go with the at3 XLT.
I’ve converted lots of guys over to Cooper through the years with these tires too.

at3 looks to be a decent highway towing tire but theyre for sure more than one notch tamer than sst. two or three notches tamer i would say

My STT's are 50lbs max pressure, what pressure should I run them at for best wear?

If I am correct Cooper tires has been bought by Goodyear and all truck tires are now being made in China.

I did an internet search this morning just before ordering Coopers from a local tire store. The website that I turned up says that Goodyear and Cooper are the only 2 homegrown companies that are still US owned.
It went on to say that Michelin and several other foreign born companies do have several US manufacturing plants. I did not go on to verify the age of the info, so it’s probably worth what I paid for it.
