I've scoured my dealer's website every day for a week looking for my 2020 trade. Have yet to see it. I'm thinking they had someone in mind, contacted them and the truck sold without ever advertising.
The 6.7L 2017 KR I traded in was on my dealer's website for a couple weeks. After it disappeared, I learned a dealer in OK (Zeck Ford) bought it and had it shipped there. It was gone from Zeck's website just a day or two after they received it.
Agree. I would not give a lifted truck with aftermarket wheels a second glance. Someone looking for this type of ride might buy it.
Agree. I like lifted trucks, but I'd skip right past a used one for sale. Now if I find a used vehicle / motorcycle / etc that looks like it's factory original and excellent condition, I am ALL IN. My experience has been a lot of buyers are the same way. Also, it's unlikely anyone will give you more money with the lift and wheels on it. When I sell a motorcycle, I will put it back to bone stock, then sell any aftermarket parts separately.
IMO, you'd come out way better if you put the truck back to bone stock (it would sell faster and prob at a higher price) and then sell the lift & wheels separately.
ehhhh no so fast. if ford says its because x, its up to you to prove them wrong. Kind of expensive endeavor. They could prob pin anything drive line related on it, or whatever they feel like that day. Covid resale fantasy land is real in this topic
Not really, but there are dealers that try that BS. It is actually the other way around…….they need to prove that aftermarket item caused the failure.
But then also, they will not warranty aftermarket parts; which there is no reason they should.

Ford doesn't have to prove it before they deny your claim. Proving it only needs to happen after the owner puts up a legal challenge.
First check Carvana and Vroom for an estimate. You may be surprised with what they offer.
I’m just not sure about recouping the investment in the lift and wheels/tires.
Aside from the online sources, I’d suggest visiting the surrounding dealers for an estimate (not just Ford) and see what they’ll offer. Crazy times!

Check several sources. I found a wide difference between Carvana and Carmax, Carmax being the better in my situation. In the end my dealer beat both of them and other dealers by a wide margin. An extremely wide margin.
Carvana wanted to know the loan payoff and then offered $300 more. Lowest of the lowballs by far. Not even remotely close to what I got in the end.
1. This hot vehicle market won't last forever.
2. I also wouldn't consider a lifted truck at all. Too many people take short cuts and I just don't trust people.
I order and lifted 2022 lariat f-250. Just not overly in love with it. It’s super nice but idk I just not into it. 7.3 gas with 4” BDS. 70k invested. Think I can get my money back out of it?
Just curious, what is it that you’re not in love with about it? Most guys would give there right nut to have a truck like that!
Anyone who knows lifts, knows BDS is top of the line. Much better than the stock garbage(in comparison) that was taken off. It will sell quick and maybe for more than you have into it.
Let us know.

Nothing complicated about these lift kits. Any good mechanic should be able to inspect and correct any issues it may or may not have.

Exactly, they are pretty much parts that just bolt on. Radius arms, shocks, springs, Pitman arm, track bar etc. The only tricky thing is getting the alignment right for some people.
