Transmission Interchangebility
My 1999 F-150 4.6L 4x4 has a 4R70W transmission. Would a 4R70W from this vehicle fit? Text from ad, "Automatic transmission and transfer case that fits a 2002-2003-2004 expedition with 5.4 motor AWD". I have a message in to the seller to clarify trans code as the higher HP VCT engines had 4R75Es. Would the 4R75E plug and play with my '99?
Any input on other possible doner vehicles is appreciated also. So for I think I need a 4R70W 4x4 transmission from 1999-03. Not at all sure about the later years though most ads mention this range. Some include 1997.
EDIT: the tranny is out of a 2003 w/Eddie Bauer trim
