Hedlight Wiring
Hi guys, I recently changed the headlight assemblies on my 2001 F350 SD to a set of projector style headlights. I like them, but when I flip the dimmer switch to bright, the low beams go off. I know that is the way it is wired. I am thinking I would like to jumper the power wire to the low beam wire so that anytime the headlight switch is on, the low beams are on and when I switch to high beams, all 4 lights are on, not just the high beams. My question is what color of wires do I need to jumper in the steering column wiring to make this work? I don't have a wiring diagram available. All I need is a simple answer.

From 1958 through the 1990's cars were equipped with 4 headlights. That is the way they all worked. When you switched to high beam, all four lights were illuminated. My Father in Law's 1995 C1500 Chevy has 4 rectangular lights and all 4 are on when high beam is selected. TOday's F-series Fords have 4 headlight and all 4 are on whenever you have the lights turned on. So I am assuming it is legal.
