Well im thinking of a new used truck in the 1999 to 2003 range truck, im not for sure what but its going to be a ford(duh), anyways ill be making about 640 at the most a month ( hey not bad for a teen). And i will have it signed in my fathers name for the insurance,
So what should i get, what would be the best truck out of a new ford sport double cab, ford ranger edge double cab or a plain f-50 I dont want a 4x4 I have one, I want a 2wd to sup up and race.................... if any one is making payment on any of these can you tell me monthly how much cash you spend on it , and if any one knows whch one has more mods for it, well thanks
you say you only going to make 640 a month [that not bad for a teen] is that after taxes get taken out,,
1=down payement
2= monthly payement
3=insurance on each month
4=gas money ,,fuel for truck,,not cheap these days,,
5=money for parts.
6= anything else might pop up.
what brand of truck are loyal to,, I would start looking at 97 or 98 newer truck,,, then you can start saving money for adds on item ,, down the road,,
p.s rember you still have your other truck ,, that still cost money.. hopeful this help you out... good luck
Well, there is alot more to it than just the payment, if your a teen, your ins will be high no matter what ya get.... if your parents are paying 100% of the insurance, you still have gas to worry about, and if you want to fix it up, make it fast, that takes alot of cash right there man. making a truck fast is always more expensive than a car..... personally, id get a mustang, half the weight (in some cases of course) and far cheaper to make fast than a truck....
at any rate, i pay 578 a month for my truck, plus ~300 a month for gas, 85.00 a month for insurance, and i put 7k down
i think your looking at a ~94-95 150, with high milage to get a payment cheap enough to afford to even drive it, let alone make it fast.
good luck to ya tho, where there is a will, there is a way!
i have a 94 f-150 fully paid off
and i dont want no car i thought about it but id rather have a truck and my brother has a ford sport used, he pays 340 a month, and i pay 35 bucks a week for gas and my dad is payin for insurance and 640 is after taxes taken out, i have ever thing planned out but what truck i want
i was lookin at an '01 ranger XLT 2WD reg-cab short bed. fully loaded,factory 6-cd, 28K 4cyl/auto. for $165 a month after $1000 down. it was $7,800 total. it looked bran new.. i started it, ran excelent.. but my dad's in his 50's, & it was a 4-cylander so he changed his mind, he thinks cuz its a 4-cyl, it'll have more problems.. okay, whatever.. cant argue with the co-signer, lol (he was a mechanic before 4-cyls were so mainstream) i'm 18, no credit... i wanted good gas mileage, small size, easy parking around here, but too small for me i concluded. u want extended cab, very good idea if dont like to drive w/ur seat-back on a nearly 90° angle. ive sat in a jump-seat in an s-10. it wasnt that bad, i dont think ur passengers should complain much.. the F-150 would be nice, but could you afford the gas, with the higher payments/higher insurance? we've got a '99 F150 4.6 V8 27k, 2wd/auto X-cab. and i did the math myself, 10.8mpg i got goin to see my girlfriend. 75mph freeway there, 50mph highway home... &less than 3 city miles off freeway. on long freeway trips it gets about 250mi on 11gal. 22mpg.. goin to *******. pretty big differences.. well i hope the info is usefull to you.. good luck making the right choice, theres so much out there.. if u want a V8 better go w/the F-150... but our '97 Ranger XL will smoke our F-150. it has the 3.0. even in high gear, or O/D. i love drivin it on the freeway.
thanks, i am looking in to the ranger x-cab, or a chevy x-trem iknow i know its a chevy but there low and get good gas mileage but who knows, it could e that dodge durago down the road that has a 5.4L v8 4x4, lift 6 inch, with 33inch bfgs on it, but i dont know yet
