Looking at upgrading to Petronix and not sure what type of distributor shaft I have? Round or D shape? Any can help me? I have web searched and forum searched. Now I need to be spoon fed
Well, I'll bite. It is kind of D shaped at the top where the rotor goes on under the cap and it is round at the bottom where it goes thru two bushings and the drive gear gets attached with attaches to a hex shaft that drives the oil pump.

I couldn't find a distributor number on my Loadamatic. I searched online until I found reviews for 223 sixes with Loadamatic and ordered that number. Worked great. I ordered through Summit and they knew which Flame Thrower coil I needed.
All the distributor up until 1960 that I have seen are the D shape. After that if they changed I don't know.
It looks like your spring clip that secures the rotor is missing?
